Founded in 2012, Apventure is a technology venture studio and early-stage investor that backs data-driven platforms across commerce, fintech and information services. Its model combines software-engineering expertise with strategic capital to accelerate product development for promising startups in Southeast Asia and North Asia.

Opedia AI, incorporated in Singapore, develops comprehensive, structured knowledge datasets on specialized topics, initially concentrating on destinations (travel-related information), as well as words, names, and their etymologies. Utilizing emerging machine-learning techniques, Opedia aggregates, organizes, and supplies information at scale, empowering third-party platforms and digital services through lightweight APIs. The company’s data resources enhance informational websites, travel planning services, language resources, and related applications, enriching user experiences and driving deeper engagement.

The seed funding will expand Opedia’s destination coverage, grow its lexical and onomastic datasets, and strengthen the cloud infrastructure that syndicates this content to client websites. The company’s roadmap also includes adding more entity types over time and extending the platform to broader knowledge domains.
